Best explored on foot, the old town is divided into four districts! While strolling through alleyways, don’t be surprised if you stumble across historical buildings with Venetian influence. Stop If you need a breather, enjoy your meal at a café or restaurant in Splantzia District; many of these cafes here have covered patios overlooking the Church of St. Nicolas, one of Chania's oldest attractions

Marvel at this Venetian fortification of Firka Castle, which is now the maritime museum of Crete. This was built to protect the entrance of the Venetian harbour. Head to Daliani Street and choose a restaurant with outdoor seating to enjoy the stunning view of the cathedral as you dine or mingle with the locals while enjoying Crete's nightlife! You'll be spoiled for choice because this neighbourhood is lined with bars and eateries. This strip, which is packed with souvenir stores during the day and morphs into an entertainment hotspot at night, is a must-see if you're in Chania.
