An excellent location to take pictures during sunset! The most unique thing about Ürgüp is the trio of black-topped fairy chimneys, also called "the three beauties," that look out over the hills outside of town. Alternatively, to see the fairy chimneys from a lower vantage point, you may take a steep trail down into the valley from the boardwalk.
For a taste of the local wine, visit one of the many wineries in Cappadocia; the area's abundant sunshine and fertile volcanic soil produce excellent sweet grapes, carrying on the Ottoman Greek winemaking tradition.
